Sunriver Resort
Located 15 miles south of Bend, the Sunriver Resort is surrounded by three golf courses and miles of hiking and biking trails. The Sunriver Resort boasts luxury lodging and vacation rentals. McMenamins Old St. Francis School
Perhaps one of Bend’s most unique lodging options is McMenamins Old St. Francis School. The converted and renovated 1936 Catholic school offers 19 guestrooms, displaying area artwork and historic objects from the old school. Guests enjoy a soak in the Turkish-style soaking pool and free admission to the movie theater. Rental cottages are also available, boasting names like the Nunnery, Friary, or Parish House.
Guests of the Old St. Francis School enjoy close proximity to downtown Bend’s shops, parks, and historic points of interest, as the hotel is located on Bond Street. Guests can take a short walk to the Mirror Pond or Drake Park, located along the Deschutes River.
McMenamins Old St. Francis School consists of a hotel, movie theater, soaking pool, and brewpub. Queen rooms start at $100. Bend is located in Central Oregon on Highway 97. The trip from Salem or Eugene takes an average of 2 and ½ hours to complete. Visitors from Portland should expect to spend 3 hours traveling to the Central Oregon.
