Sunriver Resort

Located 15 miles south of Bend, the Sunriver Resort is surrounded by three golf courses and miles of hiking and biking trails. The Sunriver Resort boasts luxury lodging and vacation rentals. Guests stay at the River Lodges, Lodge Village, Caldera Cabins, or one of 400 vacation homes and condominiums available within the resort area. The Sunriver Resort offers specials and packages for golf or winter vacations.

One of Sunriver Resort’s key amenities is the Sunriver Sage Springs Club and Spa. Considered a “world-class” spa, guests are treated to therapeutic body and beauty treatments, body wraps, aromatherapy, facials, massage, and more. The fitness club offers a lap pool and indoor tennis courts for play during winter.

The High Desert Museum is located near Sunriver, south of Bend. Sunriver visitors enjoy excellent views of the Cascade Mountains, Three Sisters, and Mt. Jefferson.

The Riverhouse Resort

Guests of the Riverhouse Resort find fine lodging and dining along the Deschutes River. With 220 rooms located along both sides of the river, most rooms and suites enjoy a river view. The Riverhouse Resort guests enjoy swimming in large indoor and outdoor pools and spas, teeing up at the River’s Edge Championship Golf Course, or dining in one of three restaurants located at the resort. The Crossings Restaurant is one of Bend’s premier steakhouses.

Guests at the Riverhouse Resort enjoy a complimentary breakfast, large kitchen, spa or fireplace suites, wireless internet, and the convenience of being located near downtown Bend. The Riverhouse Resort also maintains one of the largest conference centers in Central Oregon.

Seventh Mountain Resort

Amenities abound at Bend’s Seventh Mountain Resort. Guests enjoy swimming in three heated outdoor pools, three hot tubs, nature and bike trails, a fitness center, tennis and basketball courts, golf, and many more activities. During the winter season, Seventh Mountain Resort offers a free shuttle to Mt. Bachelor. Premium units offer upgraded amenities, while guests of standard units enjoy comfort and economy. Unit rates depend on the season, with standard units beginning at $99 or premium units at $209.

McMenamins Old St. Francis School

Perhaps one of Bend’s most unique lodging options is McMenamins Old St. Francis School. The converted and renovated 1936 Catholic school offers 19 guestrooms, displaying area artwork and historic objects from the old school. Guests enjoy a soak in the Turkish-style soaking pool and free admission to the movie theater. Rental cottages are also available, boasting names like the Nunnery, Friary, or Parish House.

Guests of the Old St. Francis School enjoy close proximity to downtown Bend’s shops, parks, and historic points of interest, as the hotel is located on Bond Street. Guests can take a short walk to the Mirror Pond or Drake Park, located along the Deschutes River.

McMenamins Old St. Francis School consists of a hotel, movie theater, soaking pool, and brewpub. Queen rooms start at $100. Packages are available including golf or snow sports, or other area activities. Guests and visitors enjoy great food and beer at the McMenamins brewpub. Events are held throughout the year. Bend is located in Central Oregon on Highway 97. The trip from Salem or Eugene takes an average of 2 and ½ hours to complete. Visitors from Portland should expect to spend 3 hours traveling to the Central Oregon.
